Mind the gap

Periods of low activity in a digital footprint often reflect life transitions — relocations, job changes, deployments, caregiving responsibilities, or time spent in institutional settings — not secrecy.

A gap only becomes meaningful when it breaks the expected rhythm of a person’s history rather than aligning with it. It’s a reminder for anyone working POI analysis that context gives the gap its meaning, not the gap itself.
